North East Policy and Holyrood Strategy Conference
This conference comes in response to requests from activists across the North East, seeking training and knowledge to bolster campaigns and door-to-door activities. Our aim is to ensure that we are fully prepared when engaging with voters on the doorsteps. This event has been specifically designed to support our messaging and voter strategy for the upcoming Holyrood election.
The conference will feature an open forum to discuss and understand SNP policy from a North East perspective across several key themes. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose up to two areas to focus on. Notes from the conference and party policies on these topics will be compiled into easily digestible and accessible information, which will be incredibly useful during door-to-door canvassing.
We are excited to confirm that many of our North East MSPs and MPs will be attending as panellists, alongside industry experts who will provide insights aligned with the SNP’s direction. The final agenda, which will include further details on the panels and their participants, will be shared soon.
Provisional key themes include:
• Net Zero and Energy
• Rural Affairs and Transport
• Health and Social Care
• Children and Young People
• Employment and Skills
• Economy and Cost of Living
Additionally, there will be sessions dedicated to our messaging for independence and both votes SNP. The event will be divided into two parts: the morning session will focus on independence and both votes SNP, while the afternoon will delve into the policy areas, offering answers and insights that can be shared on the doors.
