The Week in Review: 9 Nov – 15 Nov
With the General Election campaign well underway it’s been yet another busy week for the SNP. In case you missed it, here’s a quick round up of all the latest news.
📍 On Saturday, a YouGov poll found that support for the SNP in Scotland had risen to 42%, whilst Labour support had collapsed. But we’re taking nothing for granted and are fighting for every vote.

📍 On Sunday, the Guardian’s own analysis found that the SNP are the strongest main party for tackling climate change.
🌍 Guardian’s analysis shows the SNP are the strongest main party on #ClimateChange.
🗳️ SNP’s Westminster Leader Ian Blackford, alongside Plaid Cymru, are the only political leaders to have a 100% record when it comes to supporting climate change legislation. #GE2019 #VoteSNP pic.twitter.com/kMiPOo41na

📍 By Monday we heard that Nigel Farage wouldn’t stand his Brexit Party candidates in any Conservative seats. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: “I suspect there are many traditional Tory voters that are appalled to find that their party has effectively become the Brexit Party.”
🚨 Donald Trump has got his wish.
🙈 Nigel Farage has made a pact with Boris Johnson – the Brexit Party now won’t stand in ANY Tory seats.
🗳In every Tory seat in Scotland, the SNP is the main challenger. #VoteSNP to deprive the Tories of a majority and escape Brexit. #GE2019 pic.twitter.com/u9rDn3snyi

📍 And that night Nicola Sturgeon joined Mhairi Black for a packed-out town tall meeting in Johnstone. The First Minister said Scottish voters had the opportunity to reject Boris Johnson and choose a more optimistic future for Scotland.
⚠️ Do not take the risk of waking up to pictures of an emboldened Boris Johnson walking into Downing Street.
🏴 Instead choose a better future. Choose a future as an outward-looking European independent nation.

📍 On Thursday the SNP launched a legal action fund to fight for our place on televised election debates. The SNP is the UK’s third party and Scotland’s party of government – our voices must be heard.
📺 If broadcasters get their way, Scotland will be shut out of TV debates. That’s not on.
❌ Politics isn’t about the two tired old Westminster parties – we need real debates, so voters can make a real choice.
👉 Chip in and help us make that a reality. https://t.co/AOh5Z9bbu3 pic.twitter.com/SiLsBpZU1S

📍 On Thursday night Jeremy Corbyn came on a flying visit to Scotland – but there was a message waiting for him outside the venue.
👀 Jeremy Corbyn came on a flying visit to Scotland to tell us that regardless of how we vote, he won’t listen to us.
📽 So we sent him a message he couldn’t ignore.
